1. Who is responsible
Responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR:
Dr. med. Johannes Link
[to be added: postal address]
[to be added: email address]
2. The short version
I only process personal data where it is needed to run this website, to answer your enquiry or to inform you about webinars you signed up for. I do not use tracking or advertising cookies, and I do not sell data.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by [to be added: hosting provider]. When you open a page, the server automatically stores technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the browser and operating system used and the referring page. This is necessary to deliver the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period unless they are needed to clarify a security incident.
4. Fonts
This preview loads the fonts Figtree, Inter and Playfair Display from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to servers of Google Ireland Limited, which may involve a transfer of your IP address to Google, including to the USA. For the final website the fonts will be stored on our own server, so that no connection to Google is made.
5. Language setting in your browser
When you switch between English and German, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage, entry “drlink-lang”) so that the page opens in your language next time. This information stays on your device and is not sent to me. The storage is strictly necessary for the function you requested (Section 25(2) TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
6. Contact form and free first call
If you request a free first call, I process the details you enter: name, email address, country, whom the call is about and your message. I use them only to answer your enquiry and to arrange the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). If your message contains health information, I process it only on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). Your details are deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Webinar updates (newsletter)
You can sign up to be informed by email about upcoming webinars. This sign-up is separate from the request for a first call.
- Data: your name and email address.
- Purpose: emails about dates, topics and access links of upcoming webinars that I host or take part in. No other advertising.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Double opt-in: after signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link. Only after you confirm will you receive webinar updates. To be able to prove your consent, I store the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address used.
- Unsubscribe: you can withdraw your consent at any time, via the link at the end of every email or by a short message to me. The lawfulness of processing up to that point remains unaffected.
- Storage: until you unsubscribe. After that your email address is only kept on a block list, if at all, so that you are not written to again.
- Service provider: emails are sent via [to be added: newsletter service], with whom a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
8. Taking part in a webinar
Webinars take place on [to be added: webinar platform]. If you take part, the platform processes the data needed for the connection, such as your display name, IP address and device information. You decide yourself whether to switch on camera or microphone and what you write in the chat. Please do not share personal health information in the chat. Webinars are not recorded unless I announce this beforehand.
9. Links to other websites
This website links to press articles, congress programmes and other external pages. Data is only transferred to these providers once you click a link. Their own privacy policies apply there.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, the right to data portability and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, a short message to the address above is enough.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the authority responsible for your place of residence.
